The cantata C50 integrated amplifier is deliberately designed for a reasonable low output, as speakers with medium efficiency and above require electronics with high resolution and control. This in turn means small power supplies, less heat to be radiated, simpler circuits and therefore more direct signal paths. This is the only way an amplifier can communicate the essence of a musical performance. cantata C50 uses some ingenious design techniques that are generally neglected: minimizing eddy currents, 4-terminal T-network capacitors and feedback optimization using listening tests. The result is detail resolution and nuances that are otherwise only found in live performances. Version 2.0 has been improved to the power supply and now has even higher quality 4-terminal/T-network capacitors.
